Graduate Teaching Assistant/Postgraduate Researcher Position, University of Leeds
Are you hard-working, detail-oriented with previous experience in a Psychology teaching environment? Can you engage with both students and researchers in a positive and enthusiastic way? Would you like to conduct independent research in a vibrant School?
We are looking for highly motivated individuals aiming for a career in Psychology in the combined teaching and research study role. You will contribute to the research-led Undergraduate teaching and management of student education within the School whilst simultaneously studying for a PhD.
Additionally, the School is seeking candidates whose research interests map onto the School’s research areas of critical mass (signified by papers, grant income, and impact) within the areas of Health and Social psychology, Cognition and Neuroscience, and Appetite and Obesity.
Graduate Teaching Assistant/Postgraduate Researcher Position: What you stand to gain
- For 40% of your time, you will be employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant to deliver teaching and support sessions in research skills including statistics and research methods including feedback to the students. With strong interpersonal skills, you will also provide tutorial sessions for UG years one and two.
- For the remaining 60% of your time, you will undertake a part-time PhD, and you will submit a short research project proposal as part of your application for this dual role. Excellent time management, communication skills, and an innovative approach will support you in this role.
