The call for applications to the 38th cycle of the Doctoral Programme in Information Engineering and Computer Science – IECS of the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) – academic year 2022/2023 is now open!

30 Fully Funded PhD Scholarships at the IECS Doctoral School, University of Trento, Italy are divided as follows:

• 23 scholarships funded by DISI Department and Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), reserved for specific research topics

• 7 scholarships funded by the University of Trento

The scholarships topics cover the following 4 Research Areas:

• Research Area A: Deep and Structured Machine Learning, Language Speech and Interaction, Machine Learning and Intelligent Optimization

• Research Area B: Cyber Security, Embedded Intelligence and Robotics Systems, Next Generation Networks.

• Research Area C: Data Intelligence, Social Informatics, Software Engineering and Formal Methods.

• Research Area D: Remote and Distributed Sensing

The list below provides a short non-exhaustive summary of what to upload on the application:

• scanned copy of the applicant’s ID or passport
• M.Sc/M.A. degree transcript of records and diploma
• Curriculum Vitae
• Master’s thesis abstract
• Motivation letter
• Research Proposal
• Certificate attesting the knowledge of English language at B1 level.

• fill in the forms providing the requested information and uploading the documents specified in the Call;
• pay a € 15.00 Application fee.

It is strongly recommended not to wait until the last few days prior to the deadline to submit your application.
